Your 1st month’s rent must be paid before your lease start date in order to move in.

After move-in, your rent is due on the 1st of every month. However, you do have until 5 PM on the 5th to pay without penalty
You can pay through your resident account online. In your online resident account, you can pay with an e-check for free or with a credit card for a small convenience fee.

We also offer an auto-draft option through your online resident account.

We also accept checks and money orders made payable to CMG Leasing, Inc.

No cash will be accepted and no postdated checks will be accepted.
For Cedar Pointe and Cedarfield: Wireless Internet, Trash, and Single Stream Recycling are included in the rent.

For Cedar Pointe Only: Your apartment comes fully furnished with counter-height stools in the kitchen eating area (or dining table and 4 chairs, depending on the layout of choice) sofa, coffee table, side table, living room chair, entertainment unit in the living room, Queen-size bed with headboard and under the bed storage, Queen-size pillow-top mattress, nightstand, desk, and desk chair in each bedroom. If the layout of choice has a balcony, outdoor furniture is also included.
If you are bringing a vehicle, you will need a parking sticker.

In order to pick up your parking sticker, please bring your photo ID and Vehicle Registration to the Cedar Pointe Leasing Office at the time of move-in.

If you have a visitor, they do not need a visitor parking pass. They are welcome to park in any open spot in the parking lot.

Any additional furniture that you would like to bring is permitted, however, you may not remove any of the furniture that is provided by Cedar Pointe Apartments.

You may bring your own mattress as long as it does not damage the bed frame and the original mattress provided by Cedar Pointe remains in the apartment.

At Cedar Pointe, the closest bus stop is on Main Street, next to the Speedway gas station/Bojangles.

At Cedarfield, the closest bus stop is near the corner of Ellett Road and Fairfax Road.

Yes, each Resident is required to obtain Renter’s Insurance and provide the Leasing Office with a copy of their policy in order to move in.

You may also elect to be covered under your Parent’s Homeowners Insurance Policy or purchase a policy from another Insurance Company. In this case, we require the following on the policy:
Resident’s first and last name
Your apartment address at Cedar Pointe or Cedarfield
Policy Number
Coverage Dates - the policy must be current at the time of move-in
Personal Liability Coverage – The minimum amount required is $100,000
Personal Property Coverage – No minimum requirement

The only way to break a lease is by a military transfer, if you are currently serving in the armed forces of the United States. Please contact the office for additional details of the military transfer requirements. Although there is no other way to "break a lease", we do offer other options to assist in getting you off the lease by a sublease, a roommate change, or a lease assignment. Please contact the leasing office for details. Additional paperwork and a $100 fee will be required to facilitate any change made to the lease agreement. Management approval is required before any change is made to the lease agreement.

Yes, we do allow subleasing and roommate changes in addition to lease assignments. There is specific paperwork to process for each option and a $100 fee for processing any changes to the lease. Please contact the office for additional information and guidelines for subleasing, roommate changes, or a lease assignment. You can also review the definitions of sublease, roommate change, and lease assignment on the lease agreement, page 3 sections 7 and 8. Management approval is required before any change can be made to the lease agreement.
